Brian Mc Donough - About SockJawzTM
"It's safe to say attaching the garter belt is the
most teeth-gritting step of gearing up in the locker room. Not anymore, thanks
to SockJawz.
The archaic clip-rubber-to-metal-to-sock
contraptions are like playing a game of Operation - "It takes a very steady
hand." Not to mention it's "game over" when the metal rusts or you lose one of
the rubber pieces - I feel like I'm buying a new belt every time I throw down
for a roll of tape.
With SockJawz, it's too fast, too easy. The simple
grip to the sock takes away all the frustration (I wish I had this as a kid)
and there are no issues with comfort or flexibility - you can't even tell
you're wearing a belt (a good thing). What's more is that my SockJawz has
already seen its fair share of ice, and it still looks like I pulled it right
out of the box.
Fly-by-night innovations are commonplace in the
hockey equipment circles, but SockJawz has proved itself to me as a product
hockey players can't help but cling to."
Epuck
"Garters haven't changed a whole lot since the
60's. That is -until SockJawz came on the scene. With a totally new type of
attachment system, SockJawz have upgraded the old-style garter in many ways."
Epuck.com, a leading Louisiana based online
retailer specializing in hockey equipment, joined the FinnStar Family this
summer as a new dealer of FinnStar products. Says Keving Marcilissen, General
Manager of Epuck, "SockJawz allows us to offer our customer a better
alternative to the sea of 'clone' garters that are out there --a better product
that is unique from what the competition offers."
Butch
Jones, Manager of Wesco in Connecticut
Butch Jones, Manager of Wesco in Connecticut, one of
the Eastern United States' leading dealers of ice hockey equipment, joined
FinnStar's family in July. "I'm using the SockJawz myself," says Jones. "And
I've sold them ever since using it! I'll never go back to the 'old school'
garter belt. Why would I? And the Octopus bag is simply great. More
compartments than I could ever think of. It's the ultimate coach's bag!"
Scott
Battram, Battram Custom Goal Equipment
"I recently received the SockJawz garter system. After
years of using metal buckles and plastic garter clips that eventually would
break, and having to always remember to bring along four pennies, to use in
place of the broken clips, I thought I would give the FinnStar Hockey product a
try. I'll have to admit, I was skeptical at first that just a Velcro like
material would hold up the socks of a goalie who is down and up several times a
session. But so far so good, the product works great, socks stay in place and
all is well. I would recommend this product to anyone who has socks that need
to be held up! Overall, if I were to rate this product, I would give it a 5 out
of 5. The materials used in construction are all top notch and the sewing is
excellent."
